Giacomo Ferri

Alpine guide

The talent at the top

Talent is a divine gift, they say; it occurs in the auroral age and it is necessary to cultivate it to ensure that it then bears fruit.
It so happens that a first intimate ascent, in rigorous and complete autonomy, is precisely the manifestation of an attitude that will mark a lifetime.
Curiosity towards an unknown and unexplored place, perhaps also the prohibitions that are linked to it, led our ambassador Giacomo Ferri to try to "climb" every domestic peak from the age of 8 months (from cupboards to wardrobes to bathroom fixtures). bath). The feelings have not changed and Giacomo continues to climb the peaks of "home".

We are talking about the North of the Matterhorn, several 4,000 peaks as well as sport climbing routes up to 8b mainly in the various, and tough, crags of its valley. Which? It is the Val Seriana and precisely the Nembro quarry that sees Giacomo get up from the ground for the first times, in a natural environment, because he saw it done by the old, strong, mountaineers from Bergamo.
Now Giacomo is one of them, he dedicates almost every moment of the day to the mountains, follows its seasons discovering its many and surprising faces, alternating climbing and long excursions to ice waterfalls and ski mountaineering.
It is precisely the variety and technicality of AKU footwear that combine with the multiplicity of approaches that Giacomo has with nature and outdoor activities.
Ideal terrain? The Orobie. Here Giacomo as Alpine Guide accompanies those who want to get to know them and thus strengthens that bond with her, the mountains, the ideal destination sought since the first climbs, a land where one can spend one's talents.

“I love the mountains for its versatility, I like to follow the progress of the changing seasons.”
